Nashville a City of Health and Music We are happy to have so many good customers at Tutorz.com. Each student, parent looking for tutoring help for a child and tutor current or potential are always welcomed here. Today we would like to share with our auditory a letter of our customer and friend Mary. Mary is a very strong and enduring person; she enjoys cross-country skiing in spite of any unfavourable weather moods. Now Mary lives in Nashville, TN which is famous for its contribution into worldâs music heritage and has a very rich and diverse music life. Mary writes: âNashville is really a nice place to live. The main downside I see, and this is true for most communities in the southeastern states, is that everything developed around the car. So, its sometimes difficult to get around by foot or bike, and public transportation is in its infancy. There are efforts to improve and make the city more walkable and bikeable, but it takes time for the residents to adapt. Most people dont expect to see cyclists, or pedestrian crosswalks, so it will take some time. Its not like Calif in that respect Calif started updating its streets and sidewalks in the 1970s. Imagine Nashv. having started with such updates in the 2000s. But it is getting better. Most sports cyclists know to get out early on weekends, when the traffic is minimal. There are lots of sports enthusiasts groups in town many runners, cyclists, and triathetes. Nashv. hosts marathons and small runs throughout the year. My sis-in-law competes in them all and often comes in 1st or 2nd in her ag e group! Winters are mild here, but summers can be not only hot, but extremely humid. Sometimes I cant do any sport outside, after work, other than drive over to the pool and go for a swim. And, yes, most people around the world know of Nashv and the music scene. This is where the city excels any day of the week you can find a place to go for high-quality performances. The symphony orchestra has won multiple Grammy Awards in the past few years, and the symphony hall (the building itself) is considered one of the best in the world musicians love performing in it because of its great acoustics. Im not a huge follower of country or country-western music, but there are honky-tonks around town where bands play and people dance. There are multiple universities in town, which offer perfoming arts degrees, so even university musicals are well-done and full of talented people. There is a country music hall of fame museum here, but I havent been there yet to know what is inside. Elvis had is home in Memphis, Johnny Cash in Nashv. But modern day artists such as Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Civil Wars, Vince Gill, etc. are all based here in Nashv. Have a nice February! -Maryâ Having all necessary facilities and communications for active life is one of the vital conditions of general public health and wellness. We wish Nashville success in all programs and initiatives aimed at development of sport and health infrastructure. For those Nashvilles inhabitants who want to start a healthy life Tutorz.com offers tutors who specialize in sport trainings, fitness, dancing, swimming, yoga, cycling and nutrition. Body Cameras at Schools - Tutor Hunt Blog
Body Cameras at Schools Body Cameras at Schools Body Cameras at SchoolsSchoolsTeachers in two schools are trialing the use of body worn cameras, similar to those worn by the police. At least two schools in the UK are testing the new equipment, which features cameras that attach to the clothing. The devices are designed to be constantly filming, but will only actually record the data when the teacher presses a button. It is hoped that the cameras will help combat `constant low level disruption` but they will also offer protection to the teachers themselves. Some people have complained that the introduction of cameras into schools will violate privacy laws, but the Information Commissioner`s Office has explained that as long as the the filming is `legitimate, proportionate and necessary,` it would not be contravening the data protection act. The use of cameras in schools is still a contentious issue - legally it is unprecedented, and some lawyers have said that, if challenged, teachers would have to specify a specific need to be wearing the recording devices. Many public sector workers already use body worn cameras, most notably the police. In 2016 over 22,000 frontline Met officers were issued with Body Worn Video (BWV) equipment; and there are further plans to make the devices standard among the 32 boroughs in London. Many NHS staff, especially those working in A&E, already wear video recording equipment, and their use amongst parking wardens and crossing-patrol officers is becoming more common. The reception of body worn cameras in these sectors has been largely positive: not only do they purportedly help bring about speedier justice for victims, they also reassure members of the public, who know that the the behaviour of those in authority is also under observation. Is there really the necessity for such levels of surveillance in schools though? Many would say that if cameras are needed in a classroom for the protection of teachers and pupils, then that classroom is an unsuitable learning environment in the first place. Efforts might be better spent focusing on the issues that lead to disruption, rather than preparing teachers to be equipped to record any disturbances. Of course this might be a naive view: there is only so much teachers can do, especially in this litigious age, where schools are certainly limited in the authority they can exorcise. Many teachers have praised the introduction of body worn cameras, saying they will protect them from any false accusations of misconduct. Mr Ellis, a principle lecturer in criminal justice at the University of Portsmouth, as said `Most schools now have some level of problems with low-level background disorder in classrooms and the teachers have become quite fed up with not being able to teach.` Perhaps we should not be so quick to roll out our ever expanding surveillance net into the classroom though. The UK has the highest number of CCTV cameras in the world - possessing only 1% of the world`s population, it has a staggering 20% of the world`s CCTVs. Do residents of the UK feel safer with one CCTV for every fourteen members of its population? Have they actually helped reduce the level of crime? These are not easy questions to answer - and until we can maybe we should be a little more hesitant before we populate our classrooms with the ever watchful electronic eyes. Ask any teacher what they would like most to help them do their job, and it is unlikely the first thing they will say is a camera attached to their clothing. What they will probably tell you is they would like smaller classes, and a reduction in administrative paperwork. Give them more time to actually teach, with more than just a few minutes to spend with each pupil in overpopulated classrooms, and maybe the amount of disturbances will decrease. 3 years ago0Add a Comment

What Is Photo To Calculus?
What Is Photo To Calculus?Photo-to-Calculus (PTCT) is a widely used method of using photos in a practice. This technique can be used by students, teachers, and parents to help them learn more about geometry and help them understand the concepts of quadratic equations.Using this technique, the student can learn to multiply and divide by using the photos as a visual guide and to understand why all the fractions add up to a whole number. Photo-to-Calculus also allows the student to figure out the solutions to quadratic equations while solving the problem for a problem. The Photo-to-Calculus method uses the same pictures from the real world to teach concepts in math. Students should be shown pictures that they can relate to the concepts they are learning. While solving quadratic equations, the picture of the two sides of the equation can be used to check the problem statement. The most common type of photo-to-Calculus helps the students learn the dimensions of a square. This allows the stu dent to do a couple of simple calculations that are necessary to find the area of a square. Some of the other areas, the student can see are the quadrant of the circle, the projection of the shape onto the unit circle, and the graph of the perimeter.Photo-to-Calculus also helps the student know what the plane is doing when the graph is divided by a series of triangles. It also helps the student determine how the two right sides are different when all the three sides are compared.Photo-to-Calculus has some rules and guidelines to follow when using the pictures. One of the biggest rules is to make sure that there are no boxes or fillers in the photo to make the picture a little harder to read. Other than that, the pictures are to be used according to the rules for the problem. As you can see, Photo-to-Calculus can help students understand more about geometry and help them find out the solutions to quadratic equations. With the help of the photos, the student can solve problems and get more practice on multiplication and division.

5 Tips For Reducing The Risk of a Burnout at Work - Introvert Whisperer
Introvert Whisperer / 5 Tips For Reducing The Risk of a Burnout at Work - Introvert Whisperer 5 Tips For Reducing The Risk of a Burnout at Work Burnout has become a huge epidemic within our culture. Everything may seem as though it is going great at work, youâre operating on full steam and saying yes to everything, it may feel as though nothing can stop you. One day, inevitably it may hit you completely. Exhaustion and stress go hand in hand and you and your brain will feel completely and inevitably worn out this is a burnout. A burnout can also be described as a state of constant and prevailing stress where no matter what you do, you just canât escape the feeling of being in a slump. Other symptoms include emotional fatigue, lack of focus, negative feelings such as anger and detachment. If you are burned out, then it is highly likely that your job will suffer and your personality will shift, leaving you feeling too exhausted to function. But, your work life doesnât need to be this way. You can catch a burnout before it takes full force, so here are 5 tips to help you avoid a burnout at work. Laughter Whilst laughter may be the furthest thing from your mind at the moment, it has been proven countless times that laughter relieves stress, as well as having many positive short and long term health effects. Every study officially conducted on laughter has given positive results and besides, it is hard to feel angry when youâre laughing. Your body cannot distinguish the difference between a real and fake laugh and will release endorphins all the same, which will improve your mood. Even if you donât want to, 5 minutes laughing, real or fake, will give you a much-needed boost in the middle of a hard day. Start Saying âNoâ Being a âyesâ person can quickly become tiring. Whilst it may be easy to agree to everything, it is important that you do say no to some things, particularly in your career. The more you take on, the more it begins to wear you down and this can impact on your job, especially if you want to stay engaged and energetic about your work. Whilst you donât need to say no to everything, try small things at first which will help free up your time and your mind when you need it most. It isnât fair if you are taking on everyone elseâs work or menial tasks, so just learn to say no to doing them. Exercise It may seem counterproductive to leave work for you to be able to work out, however, exercise is crucial to your overall physical and mental health. Regular exercise can reduce stress, improve your self-confidence and prevent against cognitive decline. Knowing that you are taking care of yourself, as well as the energy boost you will get from being active, will help you to prevent against further exhaustion which leads to burnouts. Sleep Insomnia is one of the leading causes of burnouts and, when you arenât getting enough sleep, your brain wonât be functioning at its prime. Not getting enough sleep has other serious consequences, such as lack of judgement, diabetes and depression. Getting enough sleep is crucial to your overall health and happiness, so try to get as much sleep as possible. It has been proven that adults need around 7-9 hours of sleep per day in order to function optimally. Prioritise Your Time Whilst there is no secret to preventing a burnout, there are ways to manage it. Like any other project, all it takes is time management and prioritisation. If all of your tasks are properly delegated, planned and executed, then there will be no need for you, or anyone, to feel overworked or overwhelmed. When coupled with proper management, a burnout is unlikely to ever surface, so if you are beginning to feel overwhelmed at work, then arrange a chat with your manager to see what you can do. Burnouts are stressful and harmful and can be a huge hindrance on both your work and personal life, but there is no need for you to get to this point. Be careful to pay attention as to where you are at emotionally as a burnout can creep up on you over time. Be sure to take time every now and then to make sure that you are being kind to yourself and not overloading your personal and work schedules, or your stress levels.
