Nashville a City of Health and Music We are happy to have so many good customers at Tutorz.com. Each student, parent looking for tutoring help for a child and tutor current or potential are always welcomed here. Today we would like to share with our auditory a letter of our customer and friend Mary. Mary is a very strong and enduring person; she enjoys cross-country skiing in spite of any unfavourable weather moods. Now Mary lives in Nashville, TN which is famous for its contribution into worldâs music heritage and has a very rich and diverse music life. Mary writes: âNashville is really a nice place to live. The main downside I see, and this is true for most communities in the southeastern states, is that everything developed around the car. So, its sometimes difficult to get around by foot or bike, and public transportation is in its infancy. There are efforts to improve and make the city more walkable and bikeable, but it takes time for the residents to adapt. Most people dont expect to see cyclists, or pedestrian crosswalks, so it will take some time. Its not like Calif in that respect Calif started updating its streets and sidewalks in the 1970s. Imagine Nashv. having started with such updates in the 2000s. But it is getting better. Most sports cyclists know to get out early on weekends, when the traffic is minimal. There are lots of sports enthusiasts groups in town many runners, cyclists, and triathetes. Nashv. hosts marathons and small runs throughout the year. My sis-in-law competes in them all and often comes in 1st or 2nd in her ag e group! Winters are mild here, but summers can be not only hot, but extremely humid. Sometimes I cant do any sport outside, after work, other than drive over to the pool and go for a swim. And, yes, most people around the world know of Nashv and the music scene. This is where the city excels any day of the week you can find a place to go for high-quality performances. The symphony orchestra has won multiple Grammy Awards in the past few years, and the symphony hall (the building itself) is considered one of the best in the world musicians love performing in it because of its great acoustics. Im not a huge follower of country or country-western music, but there are honky-tonks around town where bands play and people dance. There are multiple universities in town, which offer perfoming arts degrees, so even university musicals are well-done and full of talented people. There is a country music hall of fame museum here, but I havent been there yet to know what is inside. Elvis had is home in Memphis, Johnny Cash in Nashv. But modern day artists such as Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Civil Wars, Vince Gill, etc. are all based here in Nashv. Have a nice February! -Maryâ Having all necessary facilities and communications for active life is one of the vital conditions of general public health and wellness. We wish Nashville success in all programs and initiatives aimed at development of sport and health infrastructure.
